Wardogs Is Coming to Xbox and PS5, but It Will Be a While
Wardogs, an ambitious 100-player tactical first-person shooter from developer Bulkhead, launches into Steam Early Access today at $39.99. The game has generated significant interest during closed beta testing, with YouTube creators actively promoting it ahead of release. The developer plans to increase the game’s price as development progresses, rewarding early supporters with the lower launch price rather than charging the standard $60–$70 for a finished title.
Console versions are confirmed for 2028, with plans to bring Wardogs to PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms. Players can already wishlist the game on those consoles ahead of the official release. CEO Joe Brammer stated that “Wardogs is ambitious, rough around the edges and still has a long way to go, but that is exactly what Early Access should be,” emphasizing the developer’s commitment to player feedback and iteration during the early access period.
The game has been described as offering tactical 100-player FPS action that evokes classic gameplay experiences. With an action-packed trailer accompanying the announcement, Bulkhead is positioning Wardogs as a significant new entry in the competitive shooter space, combining large-scale multiplayer with tactical gameplay mechanics.
