Microsoft adds Bigfoot and Copilot key remapping in latest Windows 11 preview build

Microsoft has released Windows 11 builds 26100.9539 and 26200.9539 to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel, bringing several new features closer to general availability. The update introduces support for Emoji 17.0, including new emoji designs such as the Bigfoot character. A notable feature addition is Copilot key remapping, allowing users to customize or reassign the dedicated Copilot key to other functions or applications based on their preferences. File Explorer has also received refinements aimed at improving usability. The Home view in File Explorer now preserves the state of sections between sessions, so users’ preferences for expanded or collapsed sections will persist. These Release Preview builds represent features that have already completed earlier testing phases with Windows Insiders, indicating they are progressing toward wider release to the general Windows 11 user base. The updates reflect Microsoft’s incremental approach to enhancing Windows 11, combining both aesthetic additions like new emoji support with practical customization options like key remapping and thoughtful UX improvements.
