This PS5 Gameplay Trailer Is Our Best Look Yet at Fairgames
A new trailer for an unannounced PlayStation project codenamed “Project Espresso” has circulated online, widely believed to be Sony’s long-awaited live-service multiplayer shooter, Fairgames. The game was originally announced during a PlayStation State of Play presentation in 2023 by developer Haven Studios, but has remained largely under wraps in the years since.
Recent reports suggest Fairgames may have undergone a name change to “Break In,” though official confirmation remains absent from PlayStation. The newly surfaced footage provides the most substantial look at the game’s gameplay mechanics and visual direction in years, coming after an extended period of radio silence from Sony regarding the project’s development status and release timeline.
A playtest for the title appears to be imminent, with leaked footage allegedly emerging from early testing sessions. This material offers players their best opportunity yet to assess the game in action, potentially confirming the creative direction and design philosophy Sony has pursued with this live-service shooter.
Fairgames remains in development for PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.
