GTA 6 DualSense Controller Scalpers Are Already Cashing In
Sony and Rockstar Games have partnered on limited-edition GTA 6-themed DualSense controllers, featuring the game’s iconic “VI” logo and palm tree imagery in a pink, purple, and blue color palette inspired by the game’s art style. The controllers carry an official MSRP of $84 each.
However, scalpers have already begun capitalizing on demand for the limited-edition peripherals, listing the controllers on eBay for approximately $140—nearly double the retail price—even as pre-orders remain available. Stock has been running low since pre-order access opened on the PlayStation website, reflecting strong consumer interest.
This scalping trend echoes the shortage conditions seen during the 2021 PS5 and Xbox Series X|S launch cycle, as opportunistic resellers increasingly target limited-edition gaming hardware and accessories. Recent examples include the anniversary-edition Xbox Series X and Legend of Zelda-themed Switch 2 console, both of which sold out rapidly. The GTA 6 controllers are scheduled to launch alongside the game in November.
