PUBG Update 43.1 Adds Kicks, Faster Swimming and JJK Crossover
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 43.1 has introduced a major crossover with anime series Jujutsu Kaisen alongside a new melee combat mechanic. Released on September 9, the update brings JJK-themed content to the Erangel battleground, including a special Satoru Gojo statue obtainable through a JJK gift box, exclusive special effects, and a JJK-themed warehouse. Additional cosmetic elements have been applied to care packages and other in-game items to match the crossover theme.
Beyond the collaboration content, Update 43.1 marks a significant gameplay addition with the introduction of kicks as a new melee action. Players can now perform kick attacks when unarmed, with multiple variations available. The new kick mechanic is available across all game modes and adds another layer to close-quarters combat.
The update represents PUBG’s continued focus on live-service content delivery, combining limited-time crossover collaborations with gameplay enhancements to maintain player engagement.
