Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Estimated File Size Revealed
Nintendo has announced the digital file size requirements for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, the latest entry in its celebrated strategy RPG franchise. The game will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, and players opting for a digital purchase will need to allocate 29.5GB of storage space on their console. The title is set in the Dagdan Empire and continues the series’ tradition of tactical, turn-based combat.
For those planning a digital purchase, the 29.5GB figure represents Nintendo’s initial estimate. However, it’s important to note that Nintendo’s first-party titles typically receive day-one patches and ongoing post-launch updates, which can increase the final installed file size beyond this initial estimate. Prospective buyers should ensure they have somewhat more than 29.5GB of available storage to accommodate these potential updates.
The Switch 2 exclusivity of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave means that digital storage management will be a consideration for players who prefer digital ownership over physical cartridges. With the game still awaiting its official release date announcement, players now have time to prepare their console storage accordingly.
