Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina Announced For Switch 1 & 2, Out 2027
French Bread and Aniplex announced Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina, a new entry in the fighting game franchise, during EVO Japan this weekend. The game is confirmed for release on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with an April 2027 launch date revealed in an accompanying trailer.
The announcement marks the latest installment in the Melty Blood series, which has maintained a dedicated competitive fighting game community. The decision to launch simultaneously on both current and next-generation Nintendo hardware positions the title for availability across Nintendo’s install base upon release. The EVO Japan venue—one of the world’s largest esports events—signals the publisher’s confidence in the game’s competitive potential and appeal to the fighting game community.
