Bohemia Interactive acquires minority stake in Everwind developer Enjoy Studio
Bohemia Interactive, the developer behind DayZ and Arma, has acquired a minority stake in Polish studio Enjoy Studio. Enjoy Studio developed Everwind, a sandbox survival RPG that has achieved notable commercial success, selling over 300,000 copies within six months of its early access launch.
Bohemia Interactive has been working with Enjoy Studio since 2024 and published Everwind. This investment marks Bohemia’s first venture into Polish video game development investment. The specific financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Bohemia Interactive, the investment decision was primarily driven by confidence in Enjoy Studio’s team and their shared philosophy on game development and community communication. The company emphasized its commitment to collaborative game development with its new co-owned partner.
This move represents an example of industry consolidation, with established publishers investing in and acquiring stakes in promising independent developers. The acquisition demonstrates confidence in Everwind’s market potential and Enjoy Studio’s capabilities, positioning the studio for expanded future projects under Bohemia’s partnership.
