Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Brings Back Snowboarding, And Red XIII Might Steal The Show Again

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the conclusion of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, will feature the return of the iconic snowboarding minigame from the original 1997 title. The activity will be accessible at the Golden Saucer, a recreational hub within the game, serving as one of several optional diversions available outside the main campaign. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has acknowledged high expectations surrounding the minigame’s inclusion, particularly regarding Red XIII (Nanaki), the party member who will participate in the snowboarding event. The director teased that “something wild” may occur during the minigame sequence, though specific details remain undisclosed. The return of the snowboarding feature represents Square Enix’s commitment to preserving beloved content from the original Final Fantasy 7 while expanding the scope of its modern remake. Final Fantasy 7 Revelation aims to conclude the trilogy with substantial optional content alongside the primary storyline focused on preventing Sephiroth’s plans to destroy the world.
