Xbox Game Pass Removes 8 More Games Very Soon
Microsoft has announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass removals for September 2026, with eight titles departing at the end of the month. This brings the total number of games removed from the service this month to 18, following an initial removal of 10 games earlier in September.
The games being removed on September 30 include several notable titles: the martial arts action game Sifu, the platformer Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, and Atomfall. Additionally departing are SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn, Little Rocket Lab, and Terminull Brigade.
To offset these removals, Microsoft is adding significant new content to Game Pass. Notable additions include the day-one releases of Minecraft Dungeons II (September 29) and Gears of War: E-Day (October 6). The service is also receiving a new Call of Duty title in September.
These monthly rotations of Game Pass content are typical for the subscription service, as Microsoft routinely balances removals of older or licensed titles with high-profile new releases to maintain subscriber engagement.
