Injustice 3 is seemingly the mysterious, unannounced fighting game that’s been hosting playtests in California

NetherRealm Studios appears to be developing Injustice 3, the next entry in its popular superhero fighting game series, based on newly uncovered evidence from a leaked playtest listing. Though the studio has not officially announced the project, signs point to the game already being in external testing phases with select players bound by strict non-disclosure agreements.

The revelation emerged from a now-deleted post on Good Gamer Group, a platform that coordinates confidential game testing services for developers and publishers. The post, spotted by EventHubs and later reported by Kotaku, contained multiple clues suggesting the mystery title is a NetherRealm project. Notably, the listing categorized the game as a “triple-A fighting game” alongside other identifying details consistent with an Injustice follow-up.

This represents the first substantial evidence that Injustice 3 is actively in development, though an official announcement and release date remain unknown. The previous mainline entry, Injustice 2, launched in 2017—nearly a decade ago—making this potential sequel a significant development for the fighting game community and franchise enthusiasts.
