PopCap’s Plants vs. Zombies video game franchise is being adapted into a tabletop board game by Mantic Games, with a Kickstarter campaign set to launch on October 14. The adaptation aims to capture the “comedy and chaos” of the original series in a fast-paced cooperative format designed for players seeking engaging tabletop experiences.
Featuring 1-4 player support, the board game utilizes card-based mechanics with unique effects to drive gameplay. Players will collaborate through progressively challenging levels, each featuring distinct setups, objectives, and zombie hordes to overcome. This cooperative structure mirrors the video game series’ design philosophy, emphasizing teamwork and strategic planning against escalating threats.
