PlayStation Plus Is Removing 7 Games Soon, So Play Them While You Can
Sony has announced that seven games will be removed from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on October 20th, 2026. The most notable departures include the Silent Hill 2 remake and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, two standout titles in the PS Plus Game Catalog.
The complete list of games leaving includes Silent Hill 2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition, Jurassic World Evolution 2, Rogue Lords, Lake, and Death Squared. This removal is part of PlayStation’s regular monthly rotation of its subscription library, where new titles are added while others are removed to make space.
Silent Hill 2 stands out as a critically acclaimed psychological horror remake, while Yakuza: Like a Dragon is recognized for its compelling narrative and engaging combat systems. The remaining titles span diverse genres—from the tactical RPG Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition to the narrative-driven adventure Lake and the cooperative puzzle game Death Squared.
Subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers have until October 20th to play through these games before they’re removed from the service. Sony notifies users through the “Last Chance to Play” section in the PS Plus menu, giving them advance warning of upcoming departures. This rotation strategy mirrors similar practices used by competitor services like Xbox Game Pass, which regularly cycle titles to keep libraries fresh while managing licensing agreements.
