Get Indie Cracker ‘The Alters’ on a PS5 Disc in Physical Complete Edition
11 Bit Studios has announced a physical Complete Edition of the indie game The Alters for PlayStation 5. The boxed release will launch on November 20, 2026, priced at £34.99 in the UK and $39.99 in North America.
The Complete Edition bundles the base game alongside the Last Variable expansion onto a single PS5 disc, providing a comprehensive package for players. Pre-orders for the physical release became available at retailers on the announcement date, with availability expected worldwide for PS5 owners.
This release marks a notable milestone for indie games in the physical retail space, bringing The Alters into distribution channels traditionally dominated by larger AAA titles. By consolidating both the base game and its substantial expansion into a single purchase, the Complete Edition offers players a comprehensive ownership option that encompasses the full experience without requiring multiple transactions.
The continued availability of physical editions for independent titles demonstrates sustained market demand for printed game media, even as digital distribution has become the industry standard. Physical releases retain particular appeal for collectors, players concerned with long-term game preservation and ownership rights, and those who prefer tangible media over digital licensing models.
The £34.99/$39.99 price point positions the Complete Edition competitively as a value-focused package. This bundled approach streamlines acquisition and may appeal particularly to new players seeking the complete experience, as well as existing fans looking to expand their physical collections with the full game and expansion content.
