Koei Tecmo’s Dark Fantasy Action RPG Sequel Locks In A Switch 2 Release Date
Koei Tecmo has announced an official release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the upcoming sequel to its dark fantasy action RPG inspired by China’s Three Kingdoms period. The game will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 4, 2027.
This announcement follows the arrival of the original Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on Switch 2, expanding the series’ reach to Nintendo’s new console. The sequel will maintain the franchise’s challenging action RPG gameplay within a dark fantasy interpretation of historical events.
The publisher has also revealed that a demo for Wo Long 2 will release on other platforms ahead of the full launch. Players who try the demo will receive an exclusive in-game reward—a special helmet—that transfers to the full game upon purchase, providing incentive for early participation.
An official release trailer was shared alongside the announcement, offering the first glimpse of gameplay and story elements. The March 2027 release date establishes Wo Long 2 as a notable title for Nintendo Switch 2’s library in early 2027.
