Xbox Game Pass Gets 12 More Games In September
Microsoft announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for September 2026, bringing 12 to 15 new games across various subscription tiers. The wave includes several highly anticipated day-one titles for Game Pass subscribers.
Major releases include Dune: Awakening, a sandy survival RPG arriving September 22 for Game Pass Premium, PC, and Ultimate subscribers. Two significant day-one additions follow in late September and early October: Minecraft Dungeons 2 (September 29) and Gears of War: E-Day (October 6), both available for PC and Ultimate subscribers. Earlier in the month, action-RPG Kernel Hearts with roguelike elements and optional multiplayer co-op launches September 17.
The wave also features other notable titles including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Ninja Gaiden 4, Planet of Lana 2 (a sci-fi puzzler), Marvel Cosmic Invasion (a comic-themed beat ’em up), and Keeper. Distribution varies by subscription tier, with some games exclusive to Premium or Ultimate tiers.
Game Pass members should note that several titles are rotating off the service on September 30, including action game Atomfall and martial arts metroidvania Sifu, giving players a limited window to experience them before they depart.
The announcement continues Microsoft’s pattern of dividing monthly Game Pass additions into two waves, with the September Wave 2 significantly bolstering the library after a lighter first wave earlier in the month.
