On September 16, six new games arrived on Xbox, with a Pokémon-inspired creature-collecting title leading the charge. Aniimo, a free-to-play open-world RPG, serves as the standout release of the day. The game centers on collecting creatures in a manner reminiscent of Pokémon, but with a distinctive twist: instead of directing creatures from a distance, players can transform into their captured creatures and experience battles directly from the creature’s perspective. This first-person approach to creature combat differentiates Aniimo from traditional monster-collecting games and aims to provide a more immersive experience.
