Bloodborne May Not Be Getting A Sequel Or Remaster, But How About An Umbrella?

Bloodborne fans hoping for a sequel or PlayStation 5 remaster will have to keep waiting. Instead of new gameplay content, Sony and the fashion collaboration company SuperGroupies have announced a new collection of Bloodborne-themed merchandise.

The collection is headlined by the “Childhood’s Beginning” umbrella, priced at $125.99, which is inspired by Bloodborne’s ending where the player character is reborn as a Great One. The umbrella features Caryll Runes on its exterior and a silhouette of the Moon Presence against a red moon. The wrap tying the umbrella together displays imagery from this iconic game ending.

Beyond the umbrella, the collaboration includes several other lifestyle items: a necktie and tie clip set, a card holder, a laptop sleeve, and a book cover. These products allow fans to incorporate Bloodborne aesthetics into their everyday wardrobe and accessories.

Despite Bloodborne’s release over a decade ago—exclusively on PlayStation 4—the game maintains a passionate and dedicated fanbase. Players have long expressed their desire for either a sequel or a remastered version for PS5, but such major releases have not materialized. Instead, fans have received a steady stream of supplementary content including comics, soundtrack represses, and now merchandise collaborations.

The SuperGroupies partnership represents another instance of leveraging Bloodborne’s enduring cultural relevance through licensed products rather than new game content. For collectors and devoted fans, the merchandise offers a way to celebrate the game, though many may view it as a consolation prize compared to the gameplay experiences they’ve been requesting.
