GTA 5 Franklin Voice Actor Clears the Air After Calling Out Twitch Star Kai Cenat for Allegedly Breaking Promise to a Young Fan
Shawn “Solo” Fonteno, the voice actor behind Grand Theft Auto 5’s Franklin Clinton, and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat have reconciled after a public disagreement that went viral online. Fonteno appeared as a guest on Cenat’s stream in 2024, during which he gave the content creator a tour of Los Angeles neighborhoods that inspired the fictional city of Los Santos.
Fonteno later called out Cenat over an incident involving a young fan that occurred during their outing together. In a September 2026 episode of his YouTube series “Dope As Usual,” Fonteno alleged that Cenat broke a promise he had made to the fan. Fonteno initially suggested this might be the last time he would collaborate with Cenat on a stream.
Despite the public nature of the dispute, the two have since cleared the air and are reportedly on good terms again. The incident underscores the complexities that can arise when high-profile collaborations between entertainment figures and prominent content creators intersect within gaming culture.
