HBO’s Harry Potter Officially Casts Key ‘Chamber of Secrets’ Role for Season 2
HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television series is moving forward with Season 2 casting, even before the first season has premiered. The streaming service has announced three new cast members for the second season, which will adapt Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Rafe Spall has been cast as Arthur Weasley, the father of Ron, Ginny, and the other Weasley children who plays a supporting role in the story. Spall is known for his roles in films like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, as well as the Apple TV series Trying. The character was originally played by Mark Williams in the Harry Potter film franchise.
Jasper Ambrose will play Colin Creevey, a Hogwarts student, while Molly Hewitt-Richards takes on the role of Moaning Myrtle. These additions follow recent casting announcements for other key Chamber of Secrets characters, including Tom Riddle and Ginny Weasley, who will be recast for the HBO adaptation.
