Reform UK has launched a ‘stop the boats’ game in its iOS and Android app
Reform UK, a far-right political party in the UK, has released a new mobile application called Small Boat Watch on iOS and Android platforms. The app features an embedded game titled Small Boat Scramble, which has generated attention for its political messaging.
Small Boat Scramble is a casual game where players participate in repelling small boats carrying immigrants from reaching British shores, with the objective of achieving high scores on a leaderboard. The game becomes accessible after users sign up for the app with their email, exit the application, and reopen it—at which point a ‘Play’ tab appears in the bottom navigation menu.
Gameplay involves bouncing small boats back across the screen. As players progress, the game introduces a larger wave of boats labeled the ‘Boris wave,’ a reference to former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a commentary from Reform on the increased immigration to the UK during his tenure.
At the time of reporting, Small Boat Scramble had accumulated 6,524 players participating on its leaderboard system.
