Epic X-Men Villain Is Absolutely Terrorizing Marvel’s Wolverine Players
Marvel’s Wolverine, the latest action game from Insomniac Games, launched on PlayStation 5 on September 15. Set in the same universe as the studio’s popular Spider-Man series, the game takes a notably different approach from those titles. While Spider-Man games feature open-world exploration and RPG elements, Wolverine is structured as a linear action experience centered on intense combat.
The game distinguishes itself through significantly higher levels of violence, with players controlling Wolverine as he dismembers and decapitates waves of enemies in visceral combat sequences. However, players diving into the game have discovered a surprising difficulty spike early on. Omega Red, the first major boss encounter, has proven to be a substantial skill check for many players, with numerous players reporting the unexpected challenge of this opening confrontation.
The difficulty spike appears to have caught some players off guard, with many taking to social media to discuss their struggles against the villain. Despite—or perhaps because of—this challenging introduction, the game seems to be generating significant player engagement and discussion as the community begins exploring what Insomniac has created.
