Zelda: Ocarina Of Time On Switch 2 Will Support VRR In Docked Mode

Nintendo’s official store page has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology in docked mode on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The announcement arrives following a major firmware update for the Switch 2, released last week, which introduced VRR output support in TV Mode. Variable Refresh Rate technology dynamically synchronizes the display’s refresh rate with the game’s frame rate, reducing visual artifacts like screen tearing and delivering a smoother visual experience during gameplay.

Ocarina of Time’s VRR support demonstrates Nintendo’s commitment to leveraging the Switch 2’s enhanced technical capabilities to improve game presentation. The discovery was made through Nintendo’s product listing for the upcoming Switch 2 release, indicating that Nintendo is ensuring key titles take advantage of the new hardware features available on the system.
