Fortnite Adds Pac-Man Mecha Ghosts and Blinky Companion
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is adding Pac-Man content to the game, marking another major IP collaboration for the live-service battle royale. Bandai Namco announced the partnership on September 17, bringing the iconic arcade gaming franchise into Fortnite’s growing roster of licensed characters and experiences.
The Pac-Man crossover includes several gameplay and cosmetic elements. Players can face off against Mecha Ghost Mini Bosses within specially themed islands created for the event. Additionally, Blinky is available as a sprite companion for players. Cosmetic offerings will arrive in Fortnite’s Item Shop starting September 19, giving players the chance to acquire Pac-Man-themed skins and other cosmetics.
This collaboration continues Fortnite’s established pattern of hosting major gaming and entertainment intellectual property. The game has previously secured crossovers with franchises including Kingdom Hearts, SpongeBob SquarePants, Buzz Lightyear, Bugs Bunny, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, among others. These collaborations have become a cornerstone of Fortnite’s live-service model, providing new content that appeals to players with diverse interests and generational connections to various franchises.
