Zero Parades: Director’s Cut will challenge you to drive a stolen truck through a busy roundabout while stoned out of your mind

Studio ZA/UM has announced Zero Parades: Director’s Cut, an expanded edition of its 2026 espionage RPG that will be released as a free update for PC in October and launch on PlayStation 5 on November 3rd, 2026. The update adds approximately 40,000 words of new content alongside additional encounters, dialogue, modes, and gameplay improvements.

The Director’s Cut will include a new “Backstage Mode” that offers insight into the game’s development process, while delivering more content featuring the character Melita. One notably absurd new challenge involves driving a stolen truck through a crowded roundabout while intoxicated.

Zero Parades: For Dead Spies received positive reception since its initial release earlier this year as a spiritual successor to Disco Elysium, the acclaimed RPG also developed by ZA/UM. However, the studio has undergone significant changes since Disco Elysium’s release, with considerable staff departures and creative reshuffling. The development team behind Zero Parades is substantially different from that which created its predecessor, with many original creative leads having departed. The Director’s Cut was announced just two months after ZA/UM laid off a significant portion of its workforce.
