Gears of War: E-Day system requirements require ray tracing-capable graphics card to play, alongside 115 GB of free space on an SSD
The Coalition has announced the system requirements for Gears of War: E-Day ahead of its October 6 launch, with early access available beforehand. Ray tracing capability is a baseline requirement for graphics cards, establishing a relatively high barrier to entry for PC players.
For maximum performance, the game targets 4K resolution with Ultra settings at 60 frames per second, requiring either an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XT paired with 12 GB of VRAM. However, The Coalition notes that most players with ray tracing-capable GPUs should be able to achieve satisfactory performance on medium settings, with support for upscaling technologies potentially allowing lower-end cards to reach higher visual tiers than otherwise possible.
The game requires 115 GB of free storage space on an SSD, indicating a substantial installation footprint. To aid performance scaling across different hardware tiers, Gears of War: E-Day supports multiple upscaling technologies including DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4, alongside Intel’s equivalent technology, allowing players to balance visual quality with frame rate across a broader range of configurations.
