Solo Leveling’s Big 2026 Project Will Explore a Massive Gap in Jinwoo’s Life

Solo Leveling, the Korean fantasy web novel by Chugong, has become a major entertainment franchise spanning multiple media. After success as a webtoon and anime produced by A-1 Pictures, the franchise is expanding into gaming. Developer Netmarble has announced Solo Leveling: Karma, an upcoming roguelite action RPG that will explore previously untapped aspects of protagonist Sung Jinwoo’s story.

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Netmarble showcased the game with a cinematic trailer and gameplay footage, offering attendees a first look at the combat-focused experience. The developer has prioritized action gameplay as a core element of the adaptation. While an official release date remains unannounced, the game marks the franchise’s latest expansion into interactive entertainment alongside an in-development theatrical film.

Solo Leveling: Karma represents the franchise’s continued global momentum, translating the source material’s narrative appeal into an action-oriented gaming experience. The title specifically aims to address what developers describe as a significant gap in Jinwoo’s character arc, suggesting the game will explore storyline elements not covered by existing anime and webtoon adaptations.
