Microsoft Teams will soon support two people sharing screens at once
Microsoft Teams is gaining a long-awaited capability: simultaneous screen sharing. Currently, the platform only allows one user to present their screen at a time, forcing presenters to awkwardly hand off sharing responsibilities if multiple people need to display content during a meeting.
According to a recent post from Reddit user KarthiV, Microsoft is developing a solution that will enable two presenters to share their screens or specific windows at the same time during Teams meetings. Meeting participants will be able to view both shared screens simultaneously, significantly improving the collaboration experience.
This enhancement addresses a limitation that has frustrated Teams users who need to collaborate on multiple streams of content—such as comparing documents, reviewing code, or presenting different perspectives on the same issue. The simultaneous screen-sharing feature will eliminate the need for disruptive handoffs and allow for more seamless, dynamic presentations and collaborative sessions.
The feature is currently under development, though Microsoft has not yet announced an official release date or broader details about the implementation.
