Xbox May Finally Get Its Own Version Of PlayStation Platinum Trophies

Xbox appears to be developing its own equivalent to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy system. According to an Xbox Insider, a “Mythic Achievement” filter was recently spotted in the Xbox achievement interface, suggesting the company is testing a new reward system for players who complete all achievements in a game.

Currently, Xbox players earn achievements for in-game accomplishments, but unlike PlayStation’s coveted Platinum Trophy—awarded when players unlock every trophy in a title—there is no unified reward for obtaining 100% achievement completion. This potential addition could finally give Xbox players a similar prestige milestone to pursue.

The discovery comes from an Xbox Insider in the Alpha Skip-Ahead testing tier, who noticed the new filter option while browsing their achievements. The Xbox Insider program allows early access to beta features before they reach the general public, enabling Microsoft to test functionality and gather feedback from dedicated players.

If confirmed, the Mythic Achievement system would represent a significant parity feature between Xbox and PlayStation’s reward systems. While Xbox achievements have long been celebrated by the community, the lack of a capstone reward for 100% completion has been a notable gap compared to the PlayStation ecosystem.
