Robots versus fungi FPS Mycopunk is leaving early access next month
Pigeons at Play announced that Mycopunk, a cooperative first-person shooter, will launch from early access on October 20. The news was revealed at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, giving players exactly one month to prepare for the full 1.0 release.
Mycopunk is a squad-based shooter where players assume the role of robot soldiers deployed to alien planets to combat fungal infestations threatening entire worlds. The gameplay centers on mission-based objectives that vary significantly in complexity. Tasks can range from relatively straightforward goals like clearing designated areas of hostile creatures to more elaborate undertakings such as constructing railguns to destroy invading spacecraft. This variety in mission design aims to maintain player engagement throughout the campaign.
