This Eastern spin on Diablo has an interesting enough mythology to stop it from just being another ARPG clone

Tarae: The Unbound is an upcoming dark fantasy action RPG developed by Boundary and published by Krafton. At first glance, the game appears to be a direct Diablo clone, featuring an isometric camera perspective, frantic mob-clearing combat, and loot-driven progression systems that closely mirror Blizzard’s classic formula.

However, hands-on experience at Gamescom revealed that the title differentiates itself through its Eastern mythology and cultural foundation. Rather than simply copying the Diablo template, Tarae: The Unbound appears to leverage distinctive Eastern themes and narrative elements to create its own identity within the crowded isometric ARPG market. While mechanically familiar to players of Diablo and similar titles, the developers demonstrate ambitions to move beyond the surface-level clone comparisons through meaningful cultural and mythological worldbuilding.
