The new game from Lorn’s Lure’s developer is also set in the creepy world, and this one’s a horror flight sim
Rubeki, the developer behind the atmospheric adventure game Lorn’s Lure, has announced The Hollowing, a first-person horror flight simulator set in the same unsettling world. The game had its world premiere trailer revealed at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct.
In The Hollowing, players assume the role of a pilot operating an aircraft through a fog-dense landscape populated with mysterious, eerie towers. The core challenge involves maintaining stable flight while staying close to a light source for navigation and survival. However, the job comes with a severe psychological cost—the protagonist gradually loses their mental stability as they attempt to operate within this strange, mist-covered environment, facing the possibility of following in the footsteps of their disturbing predecessor.
The game is currently in development for Steam with no release date announced, though players can add it to their wishlists on the platform. The Hollowing marks Rubeki’s venture into psychological horror gameplay, building upon the atmospheric world-building established in Lorn’s Lure while introducing aviation mechanics as a central gameplay element.
