Daredevil: Born Again Will Reportedly End With Season 3, Showrunner Departs Amidst Post-Production
Marvel’s Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again will conclude with its third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Disney made the decision after production wrapped on the new season, suggesting the show wasn’t originally designed to end there.
The revival of the original Netflix Daredevil series has faced a turbulent development, including being reworked during the 2023 Hollywood strikes. Originally planned as an 18-episode series, it was restructured into multiple seasons before a third was greenlit.
A significant leadership change accompanies the cancellation: showrunner Dario Scardapane has departed the project during post-production. Marvel did not renew his contract, leaving the show without clear oversight for its final post-production phase. The departure has raised industry eyebrows given the critical timing and importance of post-production leadership.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2027.
