Game of Thrones Actor Addresses Marvel’s Midnight Sons Movie Rumors

Marvel’s 2021 film Eternals established a pattern of unfulfilled promises through its post-credits sequence, which introduced numerous characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe without substantial follow-up. The scene teased Harry Styles as Eros (Thanos’ brother), Mahershala Ali as Blade, Kit Harington as the Black Knight, and a colossal Celestial emerging from the Indian Ocean. While the Celestial received nominal acknowledgment in 2024’s Captain America: Brave New World, the other major character introductions have languished in development limbo. Most significantly, the Blade project faced cancellation in its original form with Mahershala Ali attached.

As the MCU continues expanding its supernatural slate—notably with Ryan Gosling’s Ghost Rider movie recently announced—the rumored Midnight Sons project has become a focal point of fan speculation. The supernatural team-up would assemble many of the mystical characters initially introduced throughout the MCU. A Game of Thrones actor has now addressed the circulating rumors surrounding the Midnight Sons project, providing commentary on its status and potential roster.
