Oh good, the pervert’s back

Capcom has officially confirmed the return of Khezu to Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, bringing back one of the series’ most distinctive and controversial monsters. Khezu, classified as a Flying Wyvern, has been notably absent from recent Monster Hunter titles, making its reappearance a significant addition to the game’s expanded roster that Capcom has been gradually revealing.

The monster has gained something of an infamous reputation among Monster Hunter players for its unusual and widely criticized appearance. Over the years, the creature has prompted considerable discussion within the community regarding its design choices, with players frequently questioning its aesthetic characteristics. Despite—or perhaps because of—this notoriety, Khezu’s return has been welcomed by veterans of the franchise.

This announcement comes as part of Capcom’s ongoing effort to balance new monster introductions with returning fan favorites for Ascendance. The developer has been strategically previewing the expanded roster to build anticipation among the player base. Khezu’s confirmation adds another layer to what is shaping up to be a substantial content expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds.
