Rockstar Games Email GTA 6 Actors To Say They’re Still Under NDA, It’s Claimed

Rockstar Games has reportedly sent emails to all Grand Theft Auto 6 voice actors reminding them of their non-disclosure agreements (NDA) following the public confirmation of Stephen Root’s involvement in the project.

The situation arose when Stephen Root, a veteran voice actor, publicly revealed their role in GTA 6, marking the first official confirmation of a cast member for the highly anticipated title. Rather than welcome the announcement, Rockstar Games reportedly took action to ensure all voice actors understood the terms of their NDAs and the prohibition on discussing their involvement.

According to reports, Rockstar reached out to its entire voice cast to reinforce the confidentiality requirements that remain in effect until the game’s November 19, 2026 release date. This move appears to be an attempt to prevent further public disclosures that could compromise Rockstar’s carefully controlled marketing strategy for what is expected to be one of the largest video game launches ever.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenge major publishers face in managing information about unreleased games, particularly when multiple cast members are involved. Grand Theft Auto 6 has already been the subject of significant leaks and speculation in advance of its launch, making Rockstar’s confidentiality concerns understandable.
