‘Mythic Achievement’ Might be XBOX’s Answer to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy
Xbox is introducing a new achievement system called “Mythic Achievement,” marking the platform’s first equivalent to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy system. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has officially confirmed the feature is coming, with initial details emerging from Xbox Insider and achievement hunter Stallion83, who posted a screenshot showing a “Completed Mythic Achievement” filter.
The Mythic Achievement would recognize 100% game completion, addressing a long-standing gap in Xbox’s achievement ecosystem. PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy system has been a fixture for over 18 years, allowing players to demonstrate mastery by collecting every trophy in a game. Xbox players have requested a similar feature for years, and this announcement finally delivers parity.
Stallion83, known as the “World’s First Gamerscore Millionaire” with 3,309,665 total gamerscore, has been instrumental in highlighting this feature to the community. The introduction of Mythic Achievements represents a notable evolution in how Xbox recognizes and celebrates player accomplishment, potentially resonating strongly with completionists and dedicated achievement hunters who form a significant portion of the gaming community.
