Disney has officially greenlit a new Darkwing Duck animated series for Disney+, marking the character’s return after 35 years. The series stars Mark Hamill as the voice of Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard, with Seth Rogen serving as both a voice actor and producer.

According to the official synopsis, Darkwing Duck has spent the last 35 years trapped in an alternate world where his superhero exploits are unknown. The revival brings back classic elements from the original series, including returning villains Negaduck and Megavolt alongside familiar allies Launchpad, Gosalyn, and Morgana. A teaser video accompanied the announcement.
