KPop Demon Hunters And Ghostbusters Come To Monopoly Go For Spooky Season

Scopely’s mobile game Monopoly Go is launching its “Monster Mash” seasonal event, running from September 23 through November 25, featuring dual crossovers with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and the Ghostbusters franchise.

The KPop Demon Hunters collaboration brings characters Huntr/X and the Saja Boys to the game through themed minigames and immersive adventures. Players can experience a street race through Seoul that transitions into the Underworld, attend a Huntr/X concert experience, and access a themed shopping boutique featuring character-based collectibles. Two of Huntr/X’s songs—“Golden” and “How It’s Done”—will be integrated into the game during the event. The Ghostbusters crossover adds its own themed activities, including a rooftop race around 550 Central Park West and a Firehouse-based challenge centered on the franchise’s iconic Proton Blaster.

The season also introduces new head-to-head features enabling players to compete directly with friends, expanding the competitive offerings beyond standard gameplay. Additional themed cosmetics and collectibles will be available through the Blocks Boutique shop. This event exemplifies Monopoly Go’s strategy of leveraging major entertainment properties—both established franchises like Ghostbusters and trending Netflix content—to drive player engagement and monetization during the lucrative fall seasonal window.
