New Vegas: Online Trailer Shows Classic Fallout Title As An MMO
Fall-Net Studios has unveiled New Vegas: Online, an ambitious community-made mod that transforms Fallout: New Vegas into a multiplayer experience. The fan-created project aims to bring an MMO vibe to Obsidian Entertainment’s 2010 classic by expanding the Mojave Wasteland with new factions, locations, creatures, and dedicated multiplayer mechanics.
This isn’t the first attempt to add multiplayer to the Fallout universe. Bethesda Game Studios launched Fallout 76 in 2018 as an official online experience, and the game has attracted tens of millions of players over the years. However, New Vegas: Online represents an unofficial, community-driven effort to bring cooperative gameplay to what many players consider the best entry in the franchise.
The mod is offered as free-to-play, making it an accessible option for players with a legitimate copy of Fallout: New Vegas. The project leverages the beloved foundation of the original game while introducing fresh multiplayer elements designed to foster a shared online world, appealing to players nostalgic for the 2010 title’s critically acclaimed narrative and setting.
