Bombanana Surpassed 1 Million Sales in 10 Days
Bombanana, a cooperative indie game developed by Turkish studio Lefto and published by TARK Games, achieved 1 million sales within its first 10 days on PC, according to an announcement on September 22. The title has also accumulated over 300,000 wish lists since launch and generated more than 1 million hours of watch time on Twitch, demonstrating substantial player engagement and streaming appeal.
The game’s core mechanic centers on cooperative multiplayer gameplay featuring three monkeys with distinct disabilities: one blind, one deaf, and one mute. Players must work together to successfully defuse bombs, requiring creative communication and coordination across these limitations—a unique design that has resonated with audiences.
Capitalizing on its rapid commercial success, Lefto Studio has announced a merchandise partnership with Youtooz to create a collectible plush toy version of the bomb-defusing monkeys, complete with a removable blindfold that playfully references the game’s central mechanic.
Founded by 25-year-old developer Ufuk Girit, Lefto Studio has demonstrated strong market appeal with Bombanana’s launch. The game’s success highlights growing audience interest in innovative indie titles that prioritize creative gameplay concepts and cooperative experiences.
