PC Gaming Show Toyko Direct 2026 picks

At PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct 2026, several indie and mid-tier titles garnered significant attention from attendees. Four standout games from the show showcase diverse gameplay styles and artistic approaches across multiple genres.

Tenebris Somnia blends horror with genre-mixing mechanics, alternating between retro 2D pixel art and live-action sequences in an experience launching next month. Wane emerged as a highlight of the showcase, offering a roguelike tactics game with a distinctive visual style that draws inspiration from multiple acclaimed titles including Dishonored, Remedy games, and Disco Elysium, successfully synthesizing these influences into something visually unique.

Piroker presents an interesting take on the deckbuilding roguelike formula popularized by Balatro, translating it to a multiplayer pirate-themed setting with asynchronous play options. Despite featuring a complex initial UI, the game’s mechanics become intuitive quickly during gameplay sessions. A public playtest is currently available for interested players.

Hellcard II continues the deckbuilding trend as a sequel to a well-received earlier title. It stands out as one of the few multiplayer deckbuilders in the current market, competing in a niche space dominated by Slay the Spire 2. All four games have been added to Steam wishlists by attendees, indicating strong interest from the PC gaming community ahead of their respective releases.
