New publisher PUBLSH launches with Disco Elysium-inspired title Pera Coda

A new video game publisher called PUBLSH has officially launched, co-founded by former leadership from the marketing agency Petrol. The company was established in 2025 by CEO Ben Granados and Chief Strategy Officer Samuel Clarke, with headquarters in California. PUBLSH’s stated mission is to provide “publisher-level leadership without publisher-level control,” positioning itself as an alternative to traditional publishing models that may limit developer creative freedom.

The publisher’s debut title is Pera Coda, an episodic murder mystery game inspired by Disco Elysium. The game is being developed by Turkish studio Elyzio in partnership with its internal division Falan Studio. This choice of inaugural project appears strategically designed to demonstrate PUBLSH’s publishing philosophy in practice.

Ben Granados brings substantial industry experience to the venture, having previously co-founded Petrol, a marketing agency that has partnered with major gaming companies including Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, CD Projekt, Epic Games, Game Science, Krafton, and Sony Interactive Entertainment. This background positions PUBLSH to leverage both marketing expertise and established industry connections to support its catalog.

PUBLSH’s launch reflects a growing trend of new independent publishers entering the market with differentiated approaches. By emphasizing developer autonomy alongside professional publishing support, the publisher targets developers seeking partnerships that preserve creative control while providing resources and industry experience.
