Stick It to the Stickman Gets Major 1.0 Update

“Stick It to the Stickman,” the physics-driven roguelite brawler developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital, has officially launched version 1.0 after spending a year in Early Access. The game entered Early Access on August 18, 2025, and the full release arrives today with substantial new content.

The 1.0 update introduces expanded combat mechanics and additional enemy types to challenge players. Most significantly, it adds a final boss battle that serves as the game’s conclusion, along with a new Neurolink game mode offering a fresh gameplay experience. The core gameplay remains focused on controlling a blue stickman who battles waves of red stick figures in a satirical commentary on corporate progression and workplace culture.

Accompanying the full release is a price increase—a deliberate move that aligns with the game’s darkly comedic themes about aggressive business practices and commercial self-interest. The price hike mirrors the game’s own critique of exploitative corporate behavior, making it a fitting example of the cynical business strategies the game satirizes.

The transition from Early Access to 1.0 marks the completion of the game’s development roadmap, though ongoing post-launch support typical of roguelite titles may continue.
