Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s Platinum Trophy is Easier than Rebirth’s
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will feature a more accessible Platinum Trophy compared to its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed in an interview with AnimeNewsNetwork that the development team may have underestimated the difficulty level required for Rebirth’s Platinum Trophy achievement, prompting a deliberate adjustment in design philosophy for the upcoming title.
According to the announcement, the Platinum Trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will be achievable by approximately 20% of players, representing a more balanced challenge that rewards dedication without being prohibitively difficult. This reflects Square Enix’s response to player feedback and achievement data from the previous installment.
The upcoming title is confirmed to be a massive entry in the franchise, requiring approximately 200 GB of free storage space on players’ systems. This substantial size reflects the ambitious scope of Revelation and the extensive content being included. The reveal demonstrates the studio’s iterative approach to franchise development, incorporating lessons learned from Rebirth’s reception.
