6 New October Games That Should Be on Your Steam Wishlist
Polygon’s Wishlister newsletter has compiled six upcoming Steam games scheduled for October that deserve a place on players’ wishlists. Following September’s notably packed release calendar, October continues the trend with major AAA titles including Gears of War: E-Day, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse garnering mainstream attention and excitement.
Beyond these high-profile blockbusters, the roundup emphasizes several indie games that merit equal consideration from the broader gaming community. The curated selection includes sequels and spiritual successors to beloved cult classics from 2020, a new multiplayer-focused title designed for cooperative gaming enthusiasts, and a stylized action game drawing artistic comparisons to the critically acclaimed Control Resonant. Through this coverage, the Wishlister seeks to ensure that promising and innovative indie releases don’t become overshadowed by October’s slate of major AAA launches, helping players discover quality gaming experiences across the full spectrum of releases.
