New Magic Leak Confirms Fully-Foil Spider-Man Commander Deck

A new leak confirms that Wizards of the Coast is developing a preconstructed Commander deck for Magic: The Gathering’s Marvel’s Spider-Man Universes Beyond set. The set, which launched in September 2025, notably shipped without Commander decks—a major product category for the popular multiplayer format. According to Magic’s head designer Mark Rosewater, the omission resulted from production constraints: the set began its design cycle as a small expansion but was subsequently enlarged by leadership. The accelerated timeline left insufficient time to develop Commander decks for the release.

However, Rosewater previously indicated the product might materialize later, a suggestion that gained credibility when a leak surfaced in June 2025. Now, new unofficial information shared by the X account @MTGOSalseo provides further confirmation of the Spider-Man Commander deck’s development. While details from the latest leak remain sparse in available reports, the recurring confirmation suggests Wizards is moving forward with the product.

For Magic fans, this represents a significant addition to the Marvel’s Spider-Man set. Commander remains one of the format’s most popular variants, and preconstructed decks serve as the primary entry point for many players. The deck’s eventual release will likely complement the existing Spider-Man card pool, offering an accessible way for collectors and players to engage with the Marvel crossover’s full product lineup.
