Marvel’s Wolverine Adds Senses Toggles in New Update

Marvel’s Wolverine received an update (version 1.001.006) that introduces customizable toggles for several of the game’s sensory-guided navigation features, addressing longstanding player feedback about hand-holding and linearity. The patch allows players to disable Scent Trails for whiskey bottle collectibles, audio cues for material crates, and roots that direct players to Nightmare Trial doors, while preserving sensory features required for story progression.

The update responds to complaints surfacing since launch, with players criticizing the directional assists as overly restrictive. Insomniac Games had previously attempted to reduce Scent Trail intensity, but the new toggle system provides more comprehensive customization options. This patch reflects the developer’s ongoing commitment to addressing player agency and accessibility concerns.

Beyond the sense toggles, version 1.001.006 includes stability improvements and bug fixes. The patch resolves general crashes during gameplay, fixes Photo Mode issues, and corrects a rare visual glitch where objects turn white after extended play sessions. These technical refinements complement the gameplay customization options as Insomniac continues refining the player experience post-launch.
