Five Nights at Freddy’s is coming to Fortnite for Fortnitemares
Five Nights at Freddy’s is crossing over with Fortnite as part of the 2026 Fortnitemares event. The collaboration launches on October 1, 2026, bringing the iconic Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria as a new map location within Battle Royale.
Players will face off against the animatronic bosses from the FNAF franchise—Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy—in combat encounters. The event introduces cosmetics and skins based on each character, with reactive mechanics that respond to gameplay actions. Each skin includes battle-damaged alternate styles that showcase a withered appearance.
A dedicated game mode has been developed specifically for this crossover, challenging players to survive the night in the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria setting, staying true to the original FNAF concept of enduring a night shift. The crossover had been anticipated by the Fortnite community for some time, with hints appearing during the previous Override season and increasing speculation through Fortnitemares teasers.
This collaboration represents the latest in Epic Games’ strategy of bringing popular franchises into Fortnite’s live-service ecosystem, allowing players to engage with FNAF characters and environments within the battle royale experience.
