If you want an early taste of The Witcher 3’s Songs of the Past expansion, you can listen to five tracks from the OST right now
CD Projekt Red has released a five-track music EP previewing the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Released by Milan Records, the EP is titled “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past (Original Soundtrack Gamescom 2026 EP)” and features original compositions by Magda Urbańska, Marcin Przybyłowicz, and Daniel Elms.
The expansion was officially revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live presentation in August. With the full game expansion not yet available to the public, the OST preview serves as an early glimpse into the new content. The music incorporates traditional Slavic folk elements while maintaining the series’ distinctive artistic direction. Composer Urbańska noted that while folk music requires a different sensibility than classical composition, the team aimed to preserve “The Witcher DNA” in these pieces, drawing on Slavic heritage and cultural roots.
The five-track EP is now available on all major streaming and music platforms, offering fans a first taste of the expansion’s audio landscape ahead of its full release.
